My name is Eric Yates. I have been in the insurance business for over a decade working with individuals 50+ helping them develop a game plan for retirement. 

For my first 7 years in the business, I spent time working exclusively with one company, Bankers Life and Casualty Company. For them, I worked with over 500 clients mostly throughout the “Golden Triangle area”, Southeast Houston, and Clear Lake area, where I am originally from. After several years, I decided the “corporate environment” was not for me, and I set out to start my own independent practice, Nevexas Insurance Group.

I established Nevexas in late 2017, with the needs of my clients in mind. As an independent agent, I have the freedom and flexibility to work with as many companies as I need to, not just one. This allows me to essentially help you do the shopping, to ensure you have the exact insurance plan for your needs at the best price available.  

In working with me, you will find that my approach is very “old school”. I believe in eye contact and handshakes, and calls over texts and emails. I also come to you. Communication is important to me, so my clients know then can contact me mornings, nights, even weekends. If that means you need to talk on Sunday, yes, you can reach me. Relationships mean everything to me, and I’m blessed that this approach has led to many clients becoming friends over the years.
